Two taxi drivers from the "César Martín Rosado" Union in Puerto Morelos were shot while dining at a taco stand on Federal Highway 307. Eyewitnesses stated that armed individuals on motorcycles approached the taco stand and directly targeted the taxi drivers from Puerto Morelos.
Private paramedics arrived at the scene and attended to the two injured drivers. One was transported to the General Hospital of Cancun, while the other managed to get himself to a private clinic.
Investigators from the State Attorney's Office arrived at the scene to collect spent bullet casings and conduct the necessary investigations. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with this armed assault.
