The "Guardians of the Sea of Cozumel" summer course 2024 has come to a successful end. This was the third edition of the course and it attracted 45 young people from the island. These young individuals have now become advocates and educators on conservation matters.
The municipal government, in conjunction with the municipal public library, presented awards to the young participants, environmental experts, and sponsors who contributed their knowledge to the course.
An interesting aspect of the event was that the awards were presented to the 45 "Guardians of the Sea of Cozumel" by the experts themselves. In a unique twist, the young participants also had the opportunity to present awards to the specialists, personally expressing their gratitude for their guidance and for instilling in them the importance of caring for their environment from a unique perspective.
The final activity of the course will be an underwater adventure aboard the Atlantis Submarine, a treat for the Guardians of the Sea of Cozumel.
