Cozumel, Quintana Roo — Cozumel made history by hosting the first Pueblos Mágicos Triathlon, a race that brought together local, national and international athletes and made the island a pioneer of an event designed to showcase Mexico’s Pueblos Mágicos.
Cozumel’s Evelyn Rejón won the women’s overall title, while Flavio Morandini of Argentina took first place in the men’s field. Organizers held the awards ceremony at Benito Juárez Park before a crowd of island residents and visitors from around the world.
