Sentencing Hearing for ‘El Güero’ Guzmán López Postponed to March 2027

New York — U.S. authorities have postponed the sentencing preparation hearing for Joaquín “El Güero” Guzmán López, son of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, to March 1, 2027, according to Heraldo USA.

The hearing, originally set for August 31, 2026, was moved back seven months and is now scheduled for 11 a.m. on March 1, 2027.

The proceeding is a key step in determining the sentence Guzmán López will face after he pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit drug trafficking and organized crime.
