Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo — Playa Norte has once again secured a spot in the top 10 best beaches in Mexico, according to the latest rankings from TripAdvisor, reaffirming the island’s status as a world-class tourist destination.

The recognition was announced during the Tianguis Turístico de México, Mexico’s premier tourism trade show. The ranking reflects the preference of thousands of travelers for this iconic natural attraction, known for its crystal-clear waters, white sand, family-friendly atmosphere, and unique beauty.

Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde said the achievement is the result of ongoing efforts by her administration to maintain clean, safe, and orderly beaches, strengthening the tourism quality that distinguishes Isla Mujeres internationally.

To uphold these standards, the municipal government, through the Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone (Zofemat), carries out daily cleaning, waste removal, and environmental care tasks. These supervision and conservation efforts are essential to providing dignified spaces for both local families and national and international visitors who choose the Mexican Caribbean.

Authorities emphasized that preserving natural resources remains a priority to ensure the destination retains its accolades and continues to be an economic driver for the region.
