Cancún, Quintana Roo — The ninth edition of the PaLibrArte festival launches this Sunday, April 18, 2026, with a lineup of up to 50 multidisciplinary cultural events across northern Quintana Roo over 12 days.

The festival will run through April 29, visiting Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Mahahual, and Calderitas. Organizer Alejandra Flores Valencia said the program includes workshops, storytelling, poetry, and music aimed at promoting reading, writing, and literary genres.

“This is a family-friendly cultural event for children, youth, and creators, fostering culture as an act of freedom,” Flores Valencia said. She noted that this marks the first time the festival will be held in all five locations.

In Cancún alone, more than 20 reading corners serve an average of 15 to 20 people per session. Interested participants can check the full schedule on the festival’s social media pages or through “Librélula editores” for event locations and times.
