Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — A homeless man was found dead Sunday morning in Leona Vicario park, a public space in the municipal seat of Playa del Carmen.
Residents alerted authorities around 9:30 a.m. after discovering the body at the intersection of Avenidas 15 and Juárez. Paramedics from a private company arrived at the scene but confirmed the man had no vital signs and left.
Neighbors said the deceased was a homeless person, though they did not know his name.
The cause of death remains unknown. Investigators from the Forensic Services unit collected the body and transported it to the Medical Examiner’s office, where it awaits identification by family members.
