Cancún, Quintana Roo — The Quintana Roo government will host free public screenings of two World Cup quarterfinal matches on Saturday, July 11, as part of the ongoing FutFest 2026 initiative.

Despite Mexico’s elimination by England last weekend, the festival continues with screenings of Argentina vs. Switzerland at 8 p.m. and Norway vs. England at 4 p.m. (local time). Both matches have drawn significant fan interest: Norway has gained support from Mexican fans hoping to see England defeated, while Switzerland has attracted backing amid controversies surrounding Argentina’s victories.

Screenings will take place at six locations across the state, featuring giant screens, food, games, and other activities:

  • Cancún: Malecón Tajamar
  • Chetumal: Explanada de la Bandera
  • Bacalar: Domo Artesanal del Parque Central
  • Tulum: Explanada del Palacio Municipal
  • Isla Mujeres: Playa Centro
  • Cozumel: Parque Quintana Roo

Both matches will be played in the United States — Norway vs. England in Kansas City and Argentina vs. Switzerland in Miami. For those unable to attend the public screenings, the matches will be available on pay-TV channels such as TUDN. No social media streaming will be permitted.
