Free Shuttle Buses and Alternate Routes Activated for Air Show Tulum 2026

Free shuttle buses and alternate routes for Air Show Tulum 2026

Tulum, Quintana Roo — State authorities have activated a special transportation plan for the Air Show Tulum 2026, including free shuttle buses, paid options, and designated parking areas to prevent traffic congestion.

The Quintana Roo Mobility Institute (IMOVEQROO) announced that 20 free buses will operate every 30 minutes or as demand requires, transporting attendees to event venues.

The service will run on Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday in two blocks, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to midnight; and Sunday from 4 p.m. to midnight.

Routes will depart from the Tulum archaeological zone (ADO Base) and Aldea Tulum, with an intermediate stop at Muyil, as part of a strategy to distribute crowds and reduce traffic.

Paid transportation options include ADO buses at approximately 105 pesos, taxis from Aldea Tulum for around 700 pesos, and from Playa del Carmen for about 2,000 pesos. Shared vans from Aldea Tulum will cost roughly 110 pesos per person.

For those driving, parking lots will be available at Aldea Tulum and Muyil for 350 and 380 pesos respectively, with limited capacity.

The operation includes more than 250 free trips and is expected to move over 22,000 people during the event days, along with oversight of concessionary transport to prevent price gouging.

Authorities said the strategy aims to ensure orderly travel given the high demand expected during one of the region’s most important annual events.
