A blue Chevrolet vehicle overturned in vegetation beside Federal Highway 307 near the Dos Ojos cenote entrance

Tulum, Quintana Roo — Four travelers escaped without injuries after their vehicle rolled over on the highway between Playa del Carmen and Tulum on Tuesday. The crash occurred on Federal Highway 307 near the entrance to the Dos Ojos cenote when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The incident involved a blue Chevrolet with license plates from Tabasco state. According to information gathered at the scene, the vehicle left the pavement, rolled over, and came to rest in vegetation beside the road.

The four occupants were returning to Villahermosa, Tabasco, after spending several days in Cancún where they had combined tourism with work activities before beginning their journey home.

After the crash, passing motorists alerted emergency services, prompting a response from National Guard highway division personnel who arrived to assess the situation and coordinate operations at the scene.

Red Cross paramedics also responded to evaluate the vehicle’s occupants. Following medical assessment, they confirmed none had sustained serious injuries, making hospital transport unnecessary.

Although the dramatic rollover caused tense moments for the travelers, the final outcome involved only material damage estimated at over 50,000 pesos. The vehicle sustained severe damage while authorities conducted procedures to remove it and restore normal traffic flow on that section of Highway 307.
