Estefanía Mercado, the Municipal President of Solidaridad, has officially sworn in Gilberto Gómez as the Mayor of Puerto Aventuras for the 2024-2027 constitutional term. Gómez's appointment follows his victory in the electoral process held on December 15th.
The ceremony took place during the Second Solemn Session of Cabildo, held in the multipurpose dome of the locality, designated as the official precinct. Mercado emphasized that this event symbolizes the continuation of a dedicated administration and a deep respect for the democratic principles of the Fourth Transformation.
Mercado also reiterated her commitment to ensuring Puerto Aventuras is more than just a decorative municipality. She proudly announced plans to inaugurate a new civic plaza within the first 100 days of her administration. This space, she says, will reflect the collective efforts of the citizens.
In addition to this, Mercado reported on the progress made in enhancing public services and repairing streets. These actions are already beginning to transform the image of the locality and address the needs of its residents.
