Cancun, Quintana Roo — The Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office, in coordination with federal forces, executed six search warrants across four municipalities on Tuesday, seizing narcotics and arresting one suspect.

The raids took place in Lázaro Cárdenas, Benito Juárez, Cozumel, and Othón P. Blanco, with support from the Mexican Army, the Mexican Navy, and the National Guard, following court orders issued by control judges.

In the town of San Ángel, Lázaro Cárdenas, investigators searched a property on the Kantunilkín–Chiquilá highway, where they seized dried plant matter resembling marijuana. A second operation in Kantunilkín on Adolfo López Mateos Street also yielded suspected narcotics. Both properties were placed under official custody.

In Benito Juárez, two operations were carried out. The first, in Supermanzana 247, led to the arrest of Joan José “N” on drug-related charges. Authorities seized gram scales, dried green plant matter, and a crystalline solid substance. The second raid, in Supermanzana 203 in the Cuna Maya irregular settlement, uncovered doses of dried plant material and purple capsules. Both properties were secured.

On Cozumel island, authorities searched a home on 5 Sur Street in the San Gervasio neighborhood, finding dried green plant matter believed to be marijuana. The property was seized.

In Calderitas, Othón P. Blanco, a raid on Coahuila Norte Street yielded no evidence related to drug dealing, and the property was not secured.

The seized evidence and the detained suspect were turned over to the appropriate authorities to open investigation files and determine Joan José “N”’s legal status within the statutory timeframe.
