Cancun, Quintana Roo — The Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office, in coordination with federal forces, executed six search warrants in the municipalities of Lazaro Cardenas, Benito Juarez, Cozumel and Othon P. Blanco, seizing narcotics and arresting one man.

The operations were carried out with support from the Mexican Army, the Mexican Navy and the National Guard, following court orders issued by judges.

In the town of San Angel, in Lazaro Cardenas, investigators searched a property on the Kantunilkin-Chiquila highway, where they seized dried plant matter resembling marijuana.

A second raid in Kantunilkin, on Adolfo Lopez Mateos Street, also yielded suspected narcotics. Both properties were placed under official custody.

In Benito Juarez, two operations took place. The first, in Superblock 247, led to the arrest of Joan Jose “N” on suspicion of drug-related crimes. Authorities seized gram scales, dried green plant matter and a crystalline solid substance.

The second raid, in Superblock 203 in the irregular settlement of Cuna Maya, uncovered doses of dried plant material and purple capsules. Both properties were secured.

On the island of Cozumel, authorities searched a home on 5 Sur Street in the San Gervasio neighborhood, where they found dried green plant matter, believed to be marijuana. The property was seized.

In the town of Calderitas, on Coahuila Norte Street in Othon P. Blanco, a raid was conducted but no evidence related to drug dealing was found, so the property was not secured.

The seized evidence and the detained suspect have been turned over to the appropriate authorities to open investigation files and determine the legal status of Joan Jose “N” within the legal timeframe.
