Cancún, Quintana Roo — Control judges have bound three men over for trial on charges of qualified homicide and attempted qualified homicide, the Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office announced. All three will remain in preventive detention for two years while the investigations continue.
According to the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Homicide, Luis Salomón “N” was bound over for his probable involvement in qualified homicide and attempted homicide. The case stems from an armed attack on August 16 at a cocktail bar in Supermanzana 228 in Cancún.
Two Additional Investigations
Jesús Alberto “N”, known by the alias “Coby”, is under investigation for events dating to 2022 involving the illegal deprivation of liberty, torture and homicide of a victim whose body was allegedly dumped in the Manatí lagoon.
Jesús Noé “N”, known as “Chatarrero”, was bound over in connection with an incident on November 26, 2025, in Supermanzana 89. Investigators allege he shot two men following an altercation. Authorities said the motive appears to be a dispute between neighbors.
The State Prosecutor’s Office said the defendants retain the presumption of innocence while the legal proceedings continue.
