Puerto Aventuras, Quintana Roo — Aguakan will carry out preventive maintenance at its Puerto Aventuras desalination plant on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., as part of its ongoing efforts to improve the efficiency of the local drinking water service.
The work will include replacing worn components, cleaning pumps, and performing comprehensive upkeep on the plant’s equipment. Aguakan said the maintenance is essential to ensuring the plant operates efficiently and continues to provide reliable service to residents of the Puerto Maya 1, 2, and 3 subdivisions.
During the maintenance, those neighborhoods could experience temporary fluctuations in water supply. Aguakan urged customers to use water responsibly and prioritize essential activities while the work is underway.
The utility said it will promptly announce when the work is complete and the water supply has returned to normal.
For more information, customers can call 073 or reach Aguakan on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) through the handle DHCAGUAKAN.
