Puerto Aventuras, Mexico — A woman was seriously injured after being attacked with a bladed weapon in the Puerto Aventuras district this afternoon. Authorities confirmed the detention of a suspect, while the victim remains hospitalized following the violent incident.
The event occurred around 4:00 p.m., prompting a rapid mobilization of officers from the Municipal Citizen Security Secretariat, who responded to a call for help.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the victim with multiple injuries. She was urgently transported to a hospital to receive medical attention.
According to preliminary information, one individual was detained at the scene as the probable responsible party for the attack. Authorities have not revealed the identity of the detained person or a possible motive for the aggression.
Personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office arrived later to collect evidence and open the corresponding investigation file to clarify the circumstances of the event.
