Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — Prosecutors in Quintana Roo have obtained a second indictment against a woman, this time for aggravated homicide, in connection with a death in Playa del Carmen.

The State Prosecutor’s Office said it presented evidence to a judge, who ruled to bind the suspect over for trial on the murder charge. The judge also ordered her to remain in pretrial detention while the investigation continues.

According to authorities, the woman was already facing a separate criminal proceeding for unrelated offenses. This marks the second time she has been formally charged.

Officials said they will continue gathering evidence to clarify the case and move the judicial process forward.
