Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — The municipal government has launched a permanent donation drive called “Voces Territoriales” to collect clothing, furniture, and construction materials for indigenous communities in vulnerable situations.
The initiative, led by the city’s Social Justice and Citizen Participation Department through its Indigenous Affairs Unit, aims to strengthen community solidarity networks and channel support directly to families in need.
According to officials, the campaign will operate throughout 2026 as a permanent collection center, allowing citizens, businesses, and civil organizations to contribute items that will be distributed transparently among people facing social marginalization. The program aligns with the 2030 Agenda principles focused on poverty reduction, inclusion, and sustainable development.
Where to Donate
Donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Indigenous Affairs Unit offices on Avenida CTM, between Avenida 115 Poniente and Calle 125 Norte, in the La Gran Plaza de la Riviera neighborhood. The collection point will remain open all year, so residents can participate at any time.
