Two Arrested in Cancun After Attack on Mototaxi Driver

Cancun, Quintana Roo — Police arrested two people suspected of attacking a mototaxi driver in Cancun’s Region 221, prompting a security operation in the area.

According to initial reports, the driver was assaulted under circumstances still under investigation, sustaining injuries that required medical attention. The attack triggered a search operation that led to the suspects’ capture.

After their arrest, the individuals were handed over to the appropriate authorities for legal proceedings and to clarify the events.

The presence of police units in various parts of the neighborhood drew attention from residents as officers gathered evidence and secured the suspects.

The investigation remains open to determine the suspects’ involvement and the exact sequence of the attack.
