Chetumal, Quintana Roo — A motorcyclist was injured following a traffic incident recorded on Friday afternoon at the intersection of Insurgentes and Salvador Alvarado avenues.
The incident occurred shortly after 4:00 PM when a motorcycle and a car collided while proceeding through the intersection. Witnesses alerted emergency services, prompting paramedics to arrive at the scene to assess the motorcycle operator, who had sustained injuries requiring transport to a hospital.
The motorist involved remained at the location during the initial assessment. The precise circumstances leading to the collision have not yet been definitively established; however, initial indications point to a possible lack of precaution on the part of the car's driver.
Traffic officers conducted the corresponding documentation of the scene and ordered the removal of both vehicles to the impound lot while responsibility for the event is determined.
