Cancún, Quintana Roo — The number of registered tourism operators in Quintana Roo has surged in the first half of 2026, with the state’s mandatory online registry issuing 3,369 certificates — the same number as all of 2025.
The State Tourism Secretariat (SEDETUR) said the milestone reflects a significant increase in the number of individuals and companies registering for tourism services, strengthening the state’s official database.
Since its creation in August 2022, the State Tourism Registry of Quintana Roo (RETUR-Q) has posted steady growth. In its first year, it issued 605 certificates. Registrations rose 260% in 2023, 17% in 2024, and another 41% in 2025.
The online system, which is free and mandatory, allows operators to easily comply with regulations and provides reliable data on the state’s tourism service offerings.
Registered providers gain access to national and international trade fairs, promotional campaigns, direct communication with SEDETUR, and free training programs, workshops, forums, and webinars.
The RETUR-Q is part of a broader push to modernize and regulate Quintana Roo’s tourism sector, making it more organized and competitive for millions of visitors.
