Cancún, Quintana Roo — Mexican soccer star Guillermo “Memo” Ochoa caused a stir among travelers and fans when he was spotted arriving at Cancun International Airport for a vacation in the Mexican Caribbean.
The legendary goalkeeper for Mexico’s national team landed on a commercial flight and headed to the hotel zone for a few days of relaxation, taking advantage of the tourist offerings in northern Quintana Roo before returning to his professional soccer duties.
As he walked through the terminal, fellow passengers and airport workers quickly recognized Ochoa and approached him for photos and autographs. True to his reputation, the footballer smiled and warmly greeted the fans who gathered in the arrivals area.
Ochoa’s visit once again places Cancun in the spotlight of national entertainment and sports, cementing the destination as a favorite among international celebrities vacationing in 2026. He is expected to spend the next few days enjoying the sea, local cuisine, and natural attractions of the Riviera Maya before resuming high-performance training.
