Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo — The Puerto Morelos municipal government, through its Welfare Department, has opened registration for the “Mujer Portomorelense” and “Mujer Leonense” benefit cards, aimed at women living in the municipal seat and the Leona Vicario delegation.
Mayor Blanca Merari Tziu Muñoz said the initiative is designed to strengthen public policies focused on women and recognize their role in family and community development. She invited eligible women to register at designated service modules, noting that the program aims to improve quality of life and create more opportunities.
Applicants must present original and copy of a valid INE voter ID showing a Puerto Morelos address, an updated CURP, and a recent proof of residence no older than three months. Those without a proof of residence may fill out a residence verification form provided at the service module. During registration, participants must also complete a registration survey and an application form.
For women in Puerto Morelos, the registration module will be set up on June 23 at the City Hall Council Chamber. For women in Leona Vicario, registration will take place on June 24 at the Cenote dome. Both modules will operate from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The call also includes mothers under 18, who must additionally present a copy and original of their mother’s, father’s, or guardian’s voter ID, as well as the birth certificates and CURPs of their children.
The program is exclusively for women residing in the municipality of Puerto Morelos and requires that applicants not be beneficiaries of any other similar municipal, state, or federal social program. Authorities assured that all information provided will be kept confidential.
