Playa del Carmen, Mexico — A motorcyclist was injured after being struck by a vehicle on a street dividing the Mundo Hábitat and Bosque Real residential developments. The incident occurred when the motorcyclist, traveling at an excessive speed, was thrown from his bike and impacted the central median.
The event took place around 9:30 in the morning. The operator of a white Italika 110 motorcycle was traveling west on Avenida Solidaridad. Upon reaching Bulevar Las Américas, the driver of a gray Suzuki Swift failed to come to a complete stop and edged into the intersection, resulting in a collision with the side of the motorcycle.
The impact caused the young man on the motorcycle to fall onto the pavement and strike the central median, resulting in fractures to his left arm and left leg.
Paramedics from a private company were dispatched to the location to provide aid to the injured individual, who was subsequently transported to a hospital for the injuries he sustained.
The driver of the automobile arranged for reparations through his insurance provider, which covered the medical expenses and guaranteed the repair of the motorcycle, which sustained damage to its engine.
