Cancun, Quintana Roo — The Mexican peso strengthened against the US dollar on Sunday, May 10, trading at 17.1825 per dollar, marking a positive session for the national currency.

According to data from Investing.com, the US dollar fell 0.75%, losing 0.1290 points, while the peso maintained a favorable trend in the foreign exchange market.

The website ElDolar.info reported an average exchange rate of 17.1432 pesos per dollar, a slight difference from other financial close figures due to adjustments and updates made by each specialized platform.

The exchange rate movement reflects daily supply and demand dynamics, as well as trading activity by banks and financial institutions during the early hours of Sunday.

Currently, the average dollar price stands at 16.84 pesos for buying and 17.43 pesos for selling, serving as a reference for currency exchange operations and financial transactions in Mexico.

Analysts attribute the peso’s stability to international factors and investor confidence in the Mexican economy, which has allowed the national currency to remain competitive against the dollar.
