Cancún, Quintana Roo — Municipal authorities and emergency services rescued a deer that sustained injuries in an attack by feral dogs.
Officials mobilized personnel from the Benito Juárez General Directorate of Ecology and Cancún firefighters after receiving a report about the injured animal. Upon arrival, they secured the deer and moved it to safety, preventing further harm to its health.
The city government announced that after securing the animal, the deer was transferred to receive specialized care in coordination with the Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (Profepa), which will monitor its recovery.
Authorities emphasized that such actions are part of ongoing efforts to protect wildlife in the municipality, particularly against risks posed by feral animals in urban areas.
