Tulum, Quintana Roo — The Hotel Tulum Aeropuerto has reported a 95% occupancy rate, driven by the recent Nascar Series 100 and Air Show Tulum 2026, according to officials from Mundo Maya.
The 130-room property has seen strong demand in recent days, positioning itself as a preferred lodging option near the airport zone.
Hotel management said the average nightly rate is 2,800 pesos ($155), reflecting stable pricing despite the surge in tourist arrivals.
In addition to its rooms, the hotel offers a restaurant, gym, meeting room, pool, and terrace, catering to both leisure and business travelers.
One of the most exclusive options is the junior suite, with a stay valued at 3.78 million pesos ($210,000), marking it as a high-end choice in the region’s hotel offerings.
Officials noted that the positive impact of sporting events and air shows on the destination has strengthened the local economy and generated a greater flow of visitors.
Industry leaders believe such events will remain key to sustaining tourism growth in Tulum, particularly near the new airport infrastructure.
