Cancun, Quintana Roo — The Universidad Gestalt Design School presented ARCHIVO 26: Gestalt Fashion Show 2026 at the STOA Auditorium in Cancún, bringing together fashion, academic achievement, and social impact in one runway event.
The show featured the final collections of eight students from the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design and Marketing, marking the culmination of their professional training before representatives from the region’s educational, business, media, and social sectors.
Beyond the runway, the event also carried a charitable purpose. A portion of the funds raised was directed to Adopta un Amigo A.C., an animal welfare organization, to support a sterilization campaign for dogs living on the street. Organizers said the effort was intended to promote both animal welfare and community responsibility.
The event was attended by university directors and academic leaders, including General Director Mtra. Clara Cos Malpica; Cancún Campus Director Mtro. Emir Arjona Castro; Fashion Design Program Coordinator Mtro. Sebastián Zárate; and Image and Public Relations Program Coordinator Mtro. Pepe Cerón. They joined students, families, invited guests, business leaders, school directors, media representatives, and opinion leaders in celebrating the work of the graduating designers.
Each collection offered a different creative point of view, reflecting the students’ research, storytelling, technical development, and personal style.
Diana Solano presented Puro Territorio, a collection inspired by the Mexican cowboy and the visual identity of rural strength and tradition. Julia Romero showed Umbral, based on the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. Sabrina Arreola presented Souls Intertwined, inspired by Wuthering Heights. Ivonne García introduced Urban Gyal, a collection exploring social changes between Puebla and Cancún.
Ivanna Dávila presented Resistencia 02, inspired by social injustices, while Montserrat Orozco showed Costa Lumea, influenced by Spain’s Costa Brava. Mai Guarneros presented Whispers of the Forest, a collection based on mythological creatures, and Sofía Hernández closed with Allure, inspired by The Garden of Earthly Delights.
Together, the collections demonstrated a wide range of concepts, from literature and mythology to social commentary, regional identity, and contemporary urban culture. The runway served not only as a showcase of garments, but also as a platform for young designers to communicate ideas through fashion.
According to the university, the fashion show formed part of the students’ comprehensive academic experience. The process included research, concept development, production, styling, branding, and final presentation, giving students the opportunity to move from classroom theory to a professional runway environment.
Universidad Gestalt thanked the sponsors and strategic allies who supported the event, emphasizing that their participation helped make the show possible while also supporting the charitable campaign.
With ARCHIVO 26, the institution reaffirmed its commitment to training fashion professionals who combine creativity, innovation, technical preparation, and social awareness.
For the students, the evening represented more than a graduation project. It was a first professional statement, shared in front of the community they are preparing to serve and inspire.
