The Mexican Association for Assistance to Children with Cancer (Amanc) in Quintana Roo is launching a fundraising campaign. The aim is to raise sufficient funds for the Positron Emission Tomography (PET) study, a crucial diagnostic tool in detecting malignant tumors and identifying early to advanced stage cancer in children.

Paulina Castillo, the founder and president of Amanc, has highlighted the importance of this study. It carries a hefty price tag of over 25,000 pesos, but is vital in confirming the presence of the disease and ensuring the child is free from cancerous cells.

In addition to funding diagnostic tests, Amanc also provides medication, transportation, and treatments to over 110 children under their care. This fundraising initiative will help ensure that these children continue to receive the necessary support and care they need.
