2025 Cancún Violence: Warehouse Set Ablaze, Emergency Response Ensues

On the evening of December 31, a potentially dangerous incident took place on a federal highway near Puerto Aventuras. A construction materials warehouse was reportedly set ablaze intentionally. The warehouse, located just 100 meters from the Puerto Aventuras turn-off, was quickly attended to after an alert was activated at 20:57 hours.

According to the warehouse watchman, an unidentified individual threw an object that ignited a fire in a cardboard structure, approximately 5 by 4 meters in size, which housed cement and lime for construction. Despite the severity of the incident, no injuries were reported.

Emergency units were immediately mobilized and their swift response successfully extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading to other areas.
