Evidence bags containing drugs seized during raids in Quintana Roo

Chetumal, Quintana Roo — State and federal authorities conducted four raids on properties in the municipalities of Benito Juárez and Othón P. Blanco, seizing various doses of suspected drugs and arresting one man on drug dealing charges, the Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office announced.

The operations were carried out by investigative police officers with support from the Mexican Army, Navy, National Guard, and the state Public Security Department, acting on search warrants issued by a judge.

During the raids, authorities seized dried plant matter resembling marijuana, as well as substances that appeared to be crystal meth and cocaine, along with other evidence linked to drug sales and distribution. The properties were secured and placed under the prosecutor’s office custody for further investigation.

The arrested man was handed over to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, which will determine his legal status within the timeframe established by law. Investigations continue to identify other possible suspects involved in these illicit activities.
