Cozumel, Quintana Roo — The island of Cozumel is gearing up for the third edition of Cozumel Vivo (Vivo Fest), an event aimed at cementing the destination as a national and international benchmark for conscious and regenerative tourism.

Beatriz Tinajero, president of the Cozumel Hotel Association, announced that the festival will strengthen initiatives focused on sustainability and responsible development of the tourist destination.

This year’s edition will feature a forum with international experts, including representatives from the European Union and the University of San Diego, to follow up on long-term projects.

The program also includes community workshops centered on citizen participation and environmental care, promoting greater awareness of the island’s natural resource conservation.

Among the most anticipated activities is a free concert by the band Jenny and the Mexicats in downtown Cozumel, as well as ecotourism tours led by biologists at local reefs.

Tinajero highlighted that Vivo Fest has evolved from an initial invitation into a solid national and international coalition. With science, entertainment, and local pride, the festival seeks to attract travelers interested in purposeful experiences.
