Sunny day in Cancun with high temperatures and humidity

Cancun, Quintana Roo — Cancun will see mostly sunny and hot conditions Saturday, with a current temperature of 29°C and a high of 32°C expected. Due to high humidity, the heat index could reach 38°C, according to local forecasts.

The hottest period will be between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., with temperatures dropping to around 28°C overnight. The chance of rain is nearly zero, with partly cloudy skies and average humidity of 68%, creating muggy conditions.

Southeast winds will blow at 14 to 18 km/h, and the UV index will reach an extreme level of 11 at midday. Authorities recommend using sunscreen and avoiding prolonged sun exposure.

However, Sunday is expected to bring a change in weather, with thunderstorms and a 65% chance of rain.

The National Meteorological Service reported that Quintana Roo will see isolated showers in the coming hours, accompanied by lightning, wind gusts, and waves of 1 to 2 meters along the coast. Wind gusts of 40 to 60 km/h are also expected, with maximum temperatures between 35°C and 40°C.

Officials advise staying well hydrated, wearing light-colored clothing, and avoiding prolonged sun exposure, especially for children, older adults, and people with chronic illnesses.
