Cancún, Q. Roo.- The Municipal DIF of Benito Juárez has initiated the Ocular Prosthesis Program 2024 at its dedicated clinic in SM 94. The program is a collaborative effort with specialized doctors from the Faculty of Dentistry of UNAM, a part of the Division of Maxillofacial Prosthesis and Postgraduate Studies and Research, as well as the University of Campeche.
The primary aim of this campaign is to conduct evaluations for around 180 patients in need of ocular prostheses. This initiative provides crucial support to those who cannot afford these devices, which can cost over 20,000 pesos in the market.
The program, which has been running for more than 20 years, not only enhances the quality of life for patients but also underscores the commitment of the DIF Benito Juárez to the health and well-being of the community.
