Cancun, Quintana Roo — The city’s popular “Paseo Cancunense” program is getting a nighttime makeover. Mayor Ana Paty Peralta announced that the next edition will take place on Saturday, June 13, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., marking the first time the event has been held after dark.

Dubbed “Paseo Cancunense Nocturno,” the event will follow its traditional route along Avenida Bonampak and the Malecón Tajamar. Organizers hope the cooler evening temperatures will encourage more families to participate.

“We want to invite all families to experience something different. For the first time, Paseo Cancunense will be held on a Saturday and at night, so we can all enjoy a safe, fun space full of activities for all ages,” Peralta said.

The event will feature free bicycle rentals, designated areas for walking, running, rollerblading, and walking pets, live artistic performances, ambient music, and family-friendly recreational activities.

The Benito Juárez municipal government aims to strengthen the program as a favorite community space, promoting public space recovery and social cohesion.
