Cancún Aims to Integrate 500 Artisans and Entrepreneurs in Fairs and Exhibitions by End of 2026

Cancún, Quintana Roo — The Municipal Economic Development Department has registered 350 artisans and entrepreneurs who participate in various fairs and exhibitions across the city, with plans to expand that number to 500 by the end of the year.

Director Josué Bonilla said the city rotates participants through different venues to ensure everyone gets a chance to showcase their products, as some spaces are limited in size.

Among the locations hosting these events are Plaza Hong Kong, the municipal palace esplanade, Kabah Park, and a recently opened space at Puerto Cancún for an expo featuring more than 15 female growers and producers, which has been highly successful.

Bonilla noted that 75% of the artisans and entrepreneurs are women aged 20 to 50, though men also lead small ventures that contribute to the local economy and support their families.
