Mexico City — BBVA Mexico has announced its special promotions for Hot Sale 2026, offering customers up to 24-month interest-free installments and up to 15% cashback on purchases made with BBVA credit cards.
The campaign runs from May 25 to June 2, 2026. However, to qualify for the benefits, customers must first activate their digital card within the BBVA app. This step is required to make secure online purchases and access the event’s special offers.
Some promotions require a minimum purchase of 4,500 Mexican pesos and selection of a participating installment plan ranging from six to 24 months without interest.
How the cashback works
Customers who meet the conditions will receive automatic cashback of up to 15% of the total purchase amount. The refund will appear on the account statement within five business days after the purchase, except on platforms such as Amazon Mexico and PayPal Mexico, where it may take up to 60 business days after the event closes.
The benefit applies only at affiliated merchants and under each promotion’s specific terms.
Participating stores
Major participating platforms include Mercado Libre Mexico, Walmart Mexico, Liverpool, El Palacio de Hierro, Sears Mexico, Sam’s Club Mexico, The Home Depot Mexico, Aeromexico, and SHEIN Mexico. BBVA also announced additional promotions for purchases made through Mercado Pago and other associated digital platforms.
What to check before buying
Financial education specialists recommend carefully reviewing each promotion’s conditions, including whether prior activation is required, minimum purchase amounts, maximum cashback limits, and applicable days or hours. Many customers miss out on promotions because they fail to read these details or lack sufficient credit at the time of purchase.
According to the Mexican Online Sales Association, Hot Sale continues to see steady growth in digital participation year after year, driving more aggressive offers from banks and merchants but also making it harder to compare promotions.
What to do if the promotion doesn’t apply
If the cashback does not appear after a purchase, customers should first verify that all requirements were met. BBVA recommends keeping screenshots of the promotion, terms, and payment receipts to file claims with the bank or participating merchant. Most cashback is applied automatically, though some may take several weeks depending on the platform.
