Woman Found Dead in Tulum Hotel Room; Possible Overdose Investigated

Tulum, Quintana Roo — A woman was found dead in a room at the Kanan hotel in Tulum’s coastal zone on Thursday, prompting a response from authorities.

Hotel staff alerted emergency services after the guest failed to respond. When officials arrived, they confirmed the woman had no vital signs.

Preliminary investigations suggest a possible overdose, but officials have not confirmed the cause of death. Forensic tests will determine the exact circumstances.

Investigators from the Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office processed the scene, collected evidence, and opened a case file under standard protocols.

The victim’s identity has not been officially released. Her body was taken to the forensic medical service for an autopsy. The investigation remains ongoing.
