In Puerto Aventuras, a woman bravely jumped from a moving motor taxi in a desperate attempt to escape an alleged kidnapping. The victim, Paola A., a young local worker, experienced a terrifying ordeal one evening while returning home to Puerto Maya.
Paola's chilling story began when she boarded a motor taxi at a stand in the Puerta Aventuras complex. She soon became aware of the driver's suspicious behavior, which left her feeling deeply uncomfortable. Despite her instincts, she found herself in a helpless situation as the vehicle began to deviate from its course. "I was terrified, I thought he was trying to take me somewhere else," Paola recounted.
In a desperate move, she decided to jump from the moving vehicle. The impact with the pavement caused her to lose consciousness. When she awoke, she found herself surrounded by strangers, with a head injury that left her dazed. "A very kind woman helped me and called an ambulance," she gratefully recalled, referring to Doña Rosa García, who became her unexpected savior.
Paola has chosen to share her harrowing experience as a warning to other women about the potential dangers of using public transportation, particularly at night. "It's crucial that we stay vigilant and trust our instincts," she urged.
The local police are still attempting to identify the driver and locate the motor taxi. Unfortunately, as Paola only remembers a few details about the driver and the vehicle, and cannot recall the unit number or license plate, tracking down the suspect is proving to be a challenging task.
