Foreign Woman Found Dead of Heart Attack in Playa del Carmen – Mystery Surrounds Her Identity & Demise

In the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood of Playa del Carmen, a woman, believed to be a foreigner, was found dead, causing confusion among local residents. With no known relatives in the area, there is currently no one to claim her body.

The incident was reported to the police shortly after 1pm on Saturday, September 14, 2024. Local residents alerted authorities via a 911 call when they noticed that a woman in a nearby house was unresponsive. Officers from the Citizen Security Secretariat and staff from the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) were dispatched to the scene to investigate the situation.

Preliminary information suggests the deceased woman was a foreigner living alone in Playa del Carmen. FGE technicians arrived at the house, located on 90th street between 10th street in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood, to further investigate the case. Initial reports indicate that the cause of death was a heart attack.

Following the initial investigation, workers from the "2 North" funeral home were called to retrieve the body. The FGE confirmed that the woman likely died of a heart attack after conducting necessary investigations.
