Two Suspected Drug Dealers Arrested on Holbox Island

Two suspects in police custody with seized drugs and a firearm on Holbox Island

Holbox Island, Quintana Roo — Security forces arrested two suspected drug dealers on Holbox Island during a patrol operation, seizing marijuana, cocaine, crystal meth, and a firearm.

The suspects, identified as Carlos Miguel “N” and Greter “N,” were caught exchanging packages resembling narcotics, according to the Public Security Department. Officers from the Centurion Group, the Mexican Navy, the Mexican Army, and the National Guard participated in the operation.

Authorities confiscated a black backpack, an eco-friendly bag, 22 bags of marijuana, 51 bags of crystal meth, seven bags of cocaine, five bags of crack cocaine, two notebook pages with notes, a 9mm cartridge, and a cellphone.

The suspects were handed over to the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Drug Dealing, which will continue the investigation to determine their legal status.
