Tren Maya Opens August 2026 Job Openings for Engineering and Transport Roles

Mérida, Yucatán — The Tren Maya has opened a new recruitment period for August 2026, seeking to fill a range of positions across the Yucatan Peninsula and other southeastern states.

The rail service is looking for professionals in areas including electronic, electromechanical, electrical, mechanical, mechatronic and telecommunications engineering, as well as automotive mechanics, industrial maintenance, safety and hygiene, logistics and transport, and railway engineering. Openings are based in Yucatan, Campeche, Quintana Roo, Tabasco and Chiapas.

Applicants must send their documentation to reclutamiento@trenmaya.gob.mx, with a copy to coordgralrh.tm@trenmaya.gob.mx. The email subject line must read “Convocatoria 2026,” and the study certificate must be attached in PDF format with the applicant’s full name in capital letters as the file name.

Tanker truck operators

The system is also hiring tanker truck operators for positions in San Francisco de Campeche and Mérida-Teya. Candidates must have five years of verifiable experience driving tanker trucks, handling tanker vehicles and hazardous waste, a high school diploma, a valid federal “E” license and certificates from SICT, Mexico’s Communications and Transportation Secretariat. They must also be Mexican nationals from Yucatan, Campeche, Quintana Roo, Tabasco or Chiapas.

Resumes should be sent to the same email addresses with the subject line “Operador de Autotanque,” along with the study certificate in PDF format.

Intermodal transport operators

For intermodal transport operator vacancies at Tren Maya stations across the five states, applicants need a high school diploma with certificate, at least one year of experience driving passengers, and a valid federal “A” or “F” license. They must also be from one of the five states.

The subject line should be “Operador de Transporte Intermodal,” and the same PDF attachment requirement applies.

The application deadline for all three calls is Aug. 31, 2026. Officials urged applicants to use the correct subject lines, attach required documents in PDF format and follow file-naming instructions, as they are part of the application process.
