Two men charged in Cancun for triple homicide and attempted murder of a police officer

Cancun, Quintana Roo — Prosecutors have formally charged two men in Cancun for separate violent incidents, including a triple homicide at a bar and an attack on a police officer.

Marco Antonio “N,” known as “Marquitos,” was charged with aggravated homicide for the murders of three men on March 11 at a bar on Avenida Las Torres in the Supermanzana 510 neighborhood. Investigators said he arrived with an accomplice and got into an argument with one of the victims. The dispute began in the restroom area and escalated into a confrontation that left three people dead. Authorities noted that Marquitos also faces another pending case for drug-related crimes.

In a separate hearing, Fernando Leonel “N” was charged with attempted homicide for allegedly shooting at investigators in the El Milagro neighborhood. During the operation, a police officer was wounded in the abdomen and left arm. Officials reported that the officer is in stable condition and out of danger.
