Chetumal, Quintana Roo — The bodies of two men were found lifeless in a ditch located alongside Federal Highway 307 in Chetumal. Authorities have taken charge of the case.
The discovery occurred on the Felipe Carrillo Puerto–Tulum stretch around 10:30 a.m., when authorities were alerted via the 911 emergency number about the presence of two human corpses.
For this reason, elements of the Rural Police moved to the site and confirmed that they were dealing with two deceased persons, whose bodies showed signs of violence and were wrapped in plastic bags and tape. The State Attorney General’s Office was immediately notified.
Minutes later, criminalistics experts from the Directorate of Forensic Services, agents from the Investigation Police, and a prosecutor from the Public Ministry arrived.
