TULUM, Mexico — The first “Parrillero Tulum Fest” will take place on September 27 and 28, a gastronomic event organized by the Tulum City Council through the General Directorate of Tourism and the General Directorate of Economic Development. The event will be held on the esplanade of the Municipal Palace from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
According to the announcement, the festival seeks to project Tulum beyond its beaches and archaeological zones, highlighting the cultural identity and culinary richness of the municipality. The initiative has the support of Municipal President Diego Castañón Trejo and the collaboration of local chefs, who will present traditional dishes and innovative proposals that are part of the region’s gastronomic offerings.
The organizing authorities highlighted that this type of activity strengthens local economic development by promoting the participation of producers, restaurateurs, and tourism service providers. At the same time, the goal is to provide Tulum families and visitors with a space for community that combines culture, entertainment, and the destination’s characteristic flavors.
The event also has the support of the Quintana Roo Secretariat of Tourism (Sedetur), which will promote the festival on its digital platforms. Attendees will be able to share their experience on social media as part of the strategy to disseminate the gastronomy and culture of Tulum at the state and national level.
With this festival, Tulum expands its agenda of touristic and cultural activities, offering both locals and visitors the opportunity to enjoy a community event that reinforces a sense of identity and showcases the municipality’s culinary diversity.
