Tulum Air Show 2026 Opens With Aerial Displays, Tech Exhibits

Tulum, Quintana Roo — The Tulum Air Show 2026 launched its first day with high-impact displays at the Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport, as civil and military authorities promoted the event as a platform to position Quintana Roo as a hub for innovation, connectivity, and international spectacles.

Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa and Mexican Air Force Commander General Román Carmona Landa led the opening ceremony. Lezama said the event strengthens the state’s global profile and opens new economic, tourism, and technological opportunities for the region. She also highlighted that the Tulum airport is becoming a strategic asset for the growth of the Mexican Caribbean.

Notable attendees included Verónica Lezama Espinosa, honorary president of the DIF Quintana Roo; Senator Eugenio Segura; Felipe Carrillo Puerto Mayor Mary Hernández; and General Disraelí Gómez Herrera, director of the Mexico Aerospace Fair Committee.

Lezama said the Tulum Air Show 2026 promotes investment, creates jobs, and introduces young people to high-value technology sectors. Authorities also acknowledged the participation of the Tren Maya, Mexicana de Aviación, and Grupo Mundo Maya as strategic partners for regional development.
