Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — A white Dodge truck was reduced to ashes after catching fire suddenly on the El Tintal highway heading toward Playa del Carmen.
The incident occurred at kilometer 45, prompting a response from emergency services in Playa del Carmen.
According to official reports, the fire started in the engine compartment and quickly spread to the cabin. The vehicle’s occupants managed to stop and exit in time, escaping completely unharmed.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze in a coordinated effort, while National Guard personnel secured the area to remove the wreckage and restore traffic flow.
Following the incident, authorities reiterated their call for drivers to regularly inspect the electrical and mechanical systems of their vehicles before hitting the road.
