Playa del Carmen. Police officers from various agencies seized an alleged drug lab and distribution center tonight, where six people were arrested, in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood of Playa del Carmen.
The operation was led by elements of the Federal Ministerial Police on Avenida 10, between streets 76 and 78.
According to preliminary data, the intervened property functioned as a drug lab and distribution point.
The legal action was authorized by a control judge, who issued the judicial warrant after the authorities presented compelling evidence about the criminal activities at the location.
While the ministerial agents processed the interior of the residence, elements of the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar) maintained a strict security perimeter in the area.
A total of six people were detained, it was confirmed at the scene. The exact quantity of narcotics that were seized is unknown at this time.
