Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — Five men and two women were arrested and multiple doses of drugs were seized during a raid Saturday in the 28 de Julio neighborhood, authorities said.
The operation took place in the morning on Chunyaxche Street at the corner of Avenida De Las Naciones. It was led by the Federal Investigation Police of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office, with support from the Mexican Army and the National Guard.
Those detained were identified as Brayan Abimael “N,” Luis Mario “N,” José Manuel “N,” Miguel Ángel “N,” José Ernesto “N,” Eva Maria “N,” and Juana “N.”
According to unofficial sources, authorities seized various doses of crystal meth and cocaine. The exact quantity has not been disclosed.
After several hours of proceedings, the suspects were handed over to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, and the property was secured.
