Quintana Roo — Security forces in Quintana Roo, coordinating with state and federal authorities, executed eight search warrants across four municipalities, resulting in two arrests and the seizure of drugs, weapons, and tactical equipment linked to alleged drug trafficking.
The State Prosecutor’s Office reported that the operations involved the Interinstitutional Group, which includes federal, state, and municipal police units. Authorities seized illicit substances, firearms, ammunition, tactical gear, surveillance cameras, and vehicles during the raids.
The actions were led by the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Drug Trafficking and are part of an ongoing strategy against criminal groups in the state.
Benito Juárez
- Arrests: Omar “N” and Víctor Antonio “N”.
- Items seized: Marijuana, firearms, a tactical vest, a digital scale, and various clothing items.
- Locations: Supermanzana 259, Región 227, and the Tres Reyes neighborhood.
Bacalar
- Arrests: None reported.
- Items seized: Marijuana, a pink granular substance, firearm magazines, over 300 rounds of ammunition, tactical clothing, and two vehicles.
- Location: Valle Hermoso community.
José María Morelos
- Arrests: None reported.
- Items seized: Pink solid material, marijuana, and a surveillance camera.
- Locations: San Antonio Tuk neighborhood and Madrazo neighborhood.
Cozumel
- Arrests: None reported.
- Items seized: Marijuana and solid fragments resembling crack cocaine.
- Location: 10 de Abril neighborhood.
Following the raids, several properties were placed under official guard. The detainees and evidence were handed over to the prosecutor’s office for further investigation.
